Installing Dictor on Windows

Because Dictor is a brand-new product, Windows may show a SmartScreen warning the first time you run it. Here is exactly what to do.

Why do I see a warning?

Dictor is new, so it has not yet built up reputation with Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. SmartScreen may flag any recent app as coming from an “unknown source.” Dictor is safe and code-signed, and we are actively working with Microsoft to clear this notice. In the meantime, you can install it in two clicks — here is how.

What you will see

The warning appears, then you click “More info” followed by “Run anyway.”

Windows protected your PC

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting. Running this app might put your PC at risk.
